What r they thinking?
Horrible experience. Id give the app 0 stars if I could.
This was the only way the restaurant I wanted to go to accepted reservations. So I had no choice but to register and book thru Reserve.
First problem: reservation inquiry and confirmation is NOT real time like on Open Table. I got a message from Reserve saying they will check availability with the restaurant and get back to me. It took them 3 weeks to get back to me!!!! While a popular restaurant its not Iike its a big famous fancy restaurant that can take weeks or months to get into.
Second problem: u have to put ur credit card info in order to register to use the app. I assume this is how my meal will be paid for and thus they r trying to create a cashless transaction for the restaurant. However I was very uncomfortable with this. I cant imagine they have very good security in which to protect my credit card info and prevent fraud.
I intend to go to the restaurant at this point after all the hassle but plan to inform them how bad the customer experience is thru this app.
