Reserve for Diners App Reviews

I downloaded this app because the freebie app said I could get 10 credit if I would try the reserve app, so I did. Not only did I not receive the $10 credit but I was charged twice for the meal which was horrible and a restaurant recommended by reserve; and the app support refuses to contact me, after several attempts of me trying to reach out to them with no response. I am currently disputing the charges do not download or use this app! Youll be sorry, I know I am.

This app sends your request and tells you that you will hear from the restaurant later. If I wanted to be put on hold I would call the restaurant myself. Whats the point if cant tell me whats available?

When I first downloaded this app, I was able to get difficult reservations with ease. Now every time I have a request, theres no availability. Whats the point then??

Reserve is a great app. The concierges always help me find a great table.

Basically after the reservation is book there s no way I can talk to the representative that work on my reservation to change or move the reservation and automatically charge on my card without my concern. So here is what i wrote on yelp I believe there penalty on not show up is too unreasonable. So I had a business trip last minute (24 hours before the reservation) and there cancellation policy require 48 hours in advance. I booked for a party of 6 for my guests. Yes I know its a lost to a restaurant but charging $570 for not show up is too much. And its really hard to contact the restaurant. I booked through Reserve and I cant contact them. And I also cant contact the restaurant.

Why do you need email and phone number AND credit card? Who are you? And theres no website I have to download this app? Forget it.

If youve ever used open table youll hate this tool. No ability to see all the options for a given time and date, you have to check each restaurant individually. No ability to change a reservation without emailing or calling someone. $10 penalty if you have to cancel a reservation. This app must be great for the restaurant, because it is horrible for the customers. Some of my favorite restaurants just moved to reserve, and it may very well push me to choose other options when I eat out.

I just dont get the point of this app, it is like Open Table but less useful with fewer restaurants. I downloaded it to get a reservation at a place in Cambridge, put in the request because I guess you cant just see what times are available for some reason. Are they just calling the restaurant for me? I am really not sure, but waiting around all day to find out if I am going to get a table kind of takes away any convenience. Instead I called the place myelf and had an answer immediatly. I would prefer they be on Open Table, but this app is just a useless complication to the process.

The beauty of OpenTable is that it democratized getting a dinner reservation and made it much simpler. Reserve attempts to justify its fees by the "services" it says it provides. But he clueless idiots at Reserve cant do anything and designed an app that is tedious to use. You have to look at each restaurant and each date one at a time unlike OpenTable. And if you want to book 60 days in advance you have to tap 60 times. The app designers must have worn their moron caps they designed this one.

Wont accept my password or send me a password reset. Didnt receive a confirmation of my reservation either.

Got into the restaurant I couldn’t get into on the phone or on Opentable. Concierge in your pocket and full customer support in real time. Pretty cool. Got up and left when I felt like it. Can’t wait for them to make it to Miami.

Great app that I cant live without. I travel a lot for work and having Reserve has made getting reservations in cities a breeze. Plus not having to pull out the credit card at the end is amazing as that can sometimes be awkward with clients.

Awesome restaurants. Concierges give great recommendations and I always get into the restaurant I want when I want. Great app

1. I saw an opening for a table for 4 at Straight Wharf on Nantucket. 2. I booked it. 3. I got an e-mail saying "Your reservation is confirmed." 4. An hour before the reservation, restaurant called saying the reservation was a mistake (i.e. reserve shoudlnt have let me book reservation), but the restaurant could do an hour later. 5. Long story short, Straight Wharf kept saying, "another 15 minutes" but 1.5 hours later, we peaced out and did something else. I dont mind not getting a reservation, but if you say something is "confirmed," it should actually be confirmed!
