does not live up to promise
signed up when the app first came out, used it for a business dinner in Chicago- went over well. Subsequently, used for a couple of other occasions and can say this has turned into an over-rated open table. Sure once in a bleem "magic" happens, but I can accomplish the same by tipping a host or just being really nice to the server.
Specifically, the breaking point was making a reservation with a special request using their concierge tool. The reservation was confirmed but the request was overlooked. Were it not for me confirming I would have never known I was not getting what I asked for... so a $700 dinner for 2 was basically in a cold corner next to the kitchen door - even though concierge promised we would be "taken care" of... I can do that with OpenTable.
