Reserve for Diners App Reviews

signed up when the app first came out, used it for a business dinner in Chicago- went over well. Subsequently, used for a couple of other occasions and can say this has turned into an over-rated open table. Sure once in a bleem "magic" happens, but I can accomplish the same by tipping a host or just being really nice to the server. Specifically, the breaking point was making a reservation with a special request using their concierge tool. The reservation was confirmed but the request was overlooked. Were it not for me confirming I would have never known I was not getting what I asked for... so a $700 dinner for 2 was basically in a cold corner next to the kitchen door - even though concierge promised we would be "taken care" of... I can do that with OpenTable.

A very poor concept. You have to add a card and leave tip before eating? Not Good.

Have used the app twice with success. We were seated quickly, politely and to a table. The knowledgable staff guided us through the extensive menu,and helped us steer clear of gluten, which was not difficult given all the choices. The environment was upbeat, as were the food selections. And the ability to pay upfront and received a simple classy Reserve card was a lovely touch. I am looking into my next option in a different city. I have recommended the program to a wide variety of business associates.

Literally non-functional on my phone.

Probably great for restaurants but horrible for users of the app. You have to create an account and give your credit and tip before requesting a reservation. What?!? I deleted it immediately and cancelled my reservation.

Love Reserve - I use it for work and outings around LA and Ive been able to get some of the best and hardest tables to get! I highly recommend. PS, love not having to deal with the bill at the end of the meal!!

Used the app to "reserve" a table for the dinner. Called the restaurant to confirm and was told the reservation didnt exist. Reserve customer care wasnt of any help. Stick with opentable.

Had a reservation for last night, and went to double check on app, and it was gone. Contacted their support where all they did was apologize, its Saturday night in Chicago where you need a reservation for anything. She didnt offer to help me find a new reservation till I said that would have been a nice thing to do. We found something on opentable and will stick to using that and deleted the Reserve app.

This is the best way to end your dinner without the hassle of paying! Absolutely love it and have gotten some friends into it as well

Great app that I cant live without. I travel a lot for work and having Reserve has made getting reservations in cities a breeze. Plus not having to pull out the credit card at the end is amazing as that can sometimes be awkward with clients.

I dine out often, and Reserve helps me deal with my indecisiveness about where to eat -- especially when Im in a new city!

You cant beat the customer service here...couldnt be more easy and helpful

The gratuity is next to nothing for the staff that is serving you. However Reserve has it set up, it nearly depletes the standard 20% gratuity, down to about %11 for the staff. (As Reserve takes a cut) Awful, and all my staff are begging our company to stop using this service. Just use OpenTable

Easy to use, useful, and soon to become essential in the service Industry. I recommend this to anyone going out to eat, a unique approach to reservations!

Deleted this miserable app then reloaded it as a restaurant I wanted to reserve did not take open table. What a clunky, non-responding app! I immediately remembered why I kicked it to the curb in the first place. Despite multiple tries the request time could not be modified so I am stuck with requesting a dinner time that ranges all the way to 9pm! No thank you! Open Table take me away from this madness!

Customer service is outstanding.

Reserve is a great app. I love the growing selection of restaurants, and the new check-splitting feature makes paying the check even easier.

Stay away. Asks for every possible private and Financial detail and makes it impossible to cancel account. Horrible.
